Scope of work:

Charter of TSHD Vlaanderen XX for dredging the access channel of Gangavaram Port Limited. Development of Gangavaram Port Limited to be the deep water port available on the east coast of India, the challenging job was awarded to ISD. During Phase II, Kaveri dredged and stockpiled 5.4 Mi m³ onshore as well create the approach channel to provide navigable depth for TSHD Pacifique to deepen the access channel and turning basin to achieve the final designed depth that will be executed as Phase III. Despite the more adverse weather and soil conditions than foreseen, the crew and the project team is excelling to stick to the schedule with good progress in the work. The work is scheduled to complete by October 2008.
